     Angel moved on to the next question. “What!” she exclaimed, leaning back on the couch and making herself more comfortable. “N-N…” Her boss’s strong hands came to mind. She wondered what it’d feel like to be spanked by him. She bet Fernando would spank her hard, until her ass turned a deep red. She squeezed her legs together in response to the pool of heat starting to build low in her belly. “No. No spanking for me.” What kind of questionnaire was this? Did they really need to know her sexual preferences? Did other dating services get this personal, too? Gosh, she looked at the A/C vent, hoping it would turn on soon because the room felt stuffy. She pulled her blouse free from her skirt, undid the buttons, and parted it in half, revealing her bra.

     Angel let out a loud sigh and focused her attention back on the questionnaire. “Oh, no, no, no. I’ve never tried it, not sure I’ll ever want to.” Thoughts of Fernando came to mind, his cock stretching her tiny hole and filling her with every inch of his length. She squeezed her butt cheeks, the action spreading goose bumps through her body. Whoa! No. Thinking of him, imagining how his cock would feel inside her, didn’t help one bit. Stop, Angel, stop. She wouldn’t be thinking any of this if she’d never met him. His name alone made her insides melt. The temperature in her living room was getting too hot. How many more of these kinds of questions would she have to answer?

     Angel went back to the list, and her lips parted at what she read next. “Oh yes, yes, yes to oral sex.” She licked her lips as she imagined the tip of his cherry-red tongue exploring her folds, lapping at her clit, and his hot mouth closing over her cunt, drinking her juices.

My Review:

Angel Jones is in love with her boss, the very sexy Fernando, but she’s worked too hard to get to her position as Vice-President to risk losing her job by indulging in her desire for him. It’s getting more difficult to resist him since her job throws them together far too often and far too intimately. When her friend offers her an exclusive invitation to a very exclusive dating service, she gives in to the temptation for someone to take her mind off Fernando and signs up. Promised anonymity and the promise of something wonderful, Angel goes for it.

Fernando Durante has been lusting after his employee, Angel, for far too long. When an opportunity arises that leaves them alone, he goes for it but when rebuffed, he is determined to give up on her completely. When the opportunity to use an exclusive dating service comes to his attention, he decides it might be for the best, because he has to do something to get Angel out of his blood before he does something truly foolish. He knows she’s away on vacation and so takes a few days for himself. He follows the strange instructions given him to meet a perfect partner who could possibly be that special someone who can give him more than the unreachable woman that constantly haunts his thoughts.

ONE WICKED NIGHT by Emily Quinn is a sweet, exciting, fast-paced, and magical read that will have you panting for more and wishing for your own exclusive invitation to Elite Classified Online Dating. Angel and Fernando are a passionate couple with angst filling their every moment because of their unrequited attraction to each other. Lady D is a fairy godmother to this couple, who can’t seem to admit their desire for each other, and she throws them together in a way that they are unable to resist each other or their love. But does it work? Is there a happily-ever-after for this stubborn pair? You’ll just have to read ONE WICKED NIGHT for yourself and find out. I love how Emily leaves us with a lead-in to another torrid adventure at the end.

Emily keeps us caught, entertained, and begging for more as we watch the magic that Lady D weaves to bring these two together. You’re kept wondering how it’s going to work out, how they are going to come together, and what will happen when they do discover that somehow Lady D has managed to pull two people from a world of many and throw them together so extraordinarily.  ONE WICKED NIGHT by Emily Quinn is a wonderful time-out read that will leave you smiling, and so very satisfied, although you’re surely going to want the next story right away.

I highly recommend reading ONE WICKED NIGHT by Emily Quinn, it’s a magical fairy tale romance with an erotic twist.

Amy: Welcome Emily, it's an absolute delight to have you with us today, and thank you for taking time out of your busy day. Congratulations on your debut novel, A PLAYBOY'S LOVE AFFAIR. 

Perhaps you'd like to tell us a little bit about yourself for those who don't know you yet. 

Emily: I love to read about bad boys as much as I love to write about them, which is why I write sexy contemporary romances with irresistible bad boys, feisty heroines, a bit of conflict, humor and a dash of spice.  

Amy: Well, we do love bad boys, right everyone?! As a debut author, you're fresh from the journey from initial idea to the release date. What was it like for you when you heard the news that A PLAYBOY'S LOVE AFFAIR was going to be published? 

Emily:  Oh my gosh, I couldn’t believe it. The story was passed by a few other publishers so I thought the last one I was waiting to hear back from would pass as well. Instead, the publisher asked to see more of the manuscript. Then, I was asked to make a few minor tweaks but there was no mention of contract yet. Next thing I knew, I received an offer for a contract a week before Christmas. Needless to say, that was the best Christmas present I’ve ever had. Even when edits started I was still processing whether it was really happening. But now that it’s actually out there for the world to see, it’s a feeling I can’t explain. I’m beyond thrilled. 

Amy:  That certainly was a great Christmas gift! I am so jealous. The title of your book, A PLAYBOY'S LOVE AFFAIR, is definitely intriguing and quite provocative. Perhaps you'd like to tell us what inspired you to write this particular story. 

Emily:  I love this question. One day I was listening to a song and the lyrics grabbed me. I thought, “Oh my goodness, wouldn’t it be a great love story if a beautiful woman meets a drop dead gorgeous troublemaker at midnight and that it’d only take a kiss for him to fall in love with her?” I played with the title quite a bit, I wanted something that would make people think, “How can a playboy have a love affair if he is that… A playboy?” 

Amy:  Leave it to music to inspire. They say that scent is the greatest stimulator, I'm beginning to think music does more to inspire romance than anything. Most writers are prolific readers, do you have any favorite authors or genres that have influenced the direction of your writing? 

Emily:  Some of my favorite authors are: Jude Deveraux, Lisa Kleypas, Suzanne Enoch, Julia Quinn. I fell in love with their historical romances. In fact, historicals were all I read for a very long time. I’ve read most of these authors’ books and never get tired of them. These authors inspire me and I always tell myself, “I want to be like them when I grow up.” 

Amy:  Great role models! A PLAYBOY'S LOVE AFFAIR is a contemporary romance. Is contemporary romance where you see yourself staying with your writing or do you see the possibility of dipping your pen into other romantic directions? 

Emily:  I like a little bit of everything but I think I will stick to contemporary romance with erotic elements (that’s where my dash of spice comes in) for now. Perhaps, later I may try my hand at writing a historical but I’d have to give that some thought. 

Amy:  Go with what works, I say, but never say never. So what's next for Emily Quinn? 

Emily:  Well, I just got a new contract with a different publisher for a Contemporary Erotic Romance Novella titled ONE WICKED NIGHT. This one will be out very soon. 

Amy: How exciting? Congratulations and I know, I'm looking forward to it. Love the title - you know a title like that can only hold trouble! My last question for you and my personal favorite. If you could be ANY character in ANY book, who would it be and why? 

Emily:  I’d be Dougless from A KNIGHT IN SHINING ARMOR by Jude Deveraux. I guess the reason is because I like Colin (the hero) so much that I want to be her just to get to him.  : )
You may call me shameless. Hey, but what’s a girl to do with a guy like him?  

Amy:  I'd never call you shameless for wanting to be her.  I wouldn't mind being in her shoes either.

Alex walked through a stunningly tall garden arbor, admiring the beautiful roses clambering up its sides. He came to a halt at its end, and closed his eyes as he slowly inhaled the tranquility mixed in the rose sweet smelling cool night air. Instinct told him he wasn’t alone, and was glad to see his gut feeling never failed him. His gaze followed a path leading up to a woman in a midnight blue gown, standing under a timeless giant tree a few steps away from him.

“Trying to get away?” the mysterious woman purred, coming out of the shadows with a cat-like walk. 

He nodded. His gaze traveled the length of her body, and his hands itched to touch her long chocolate waves resting on her left shoulder. 

“I don’t blame you.” She lifted her hand offering him the bottle of wine she’d been drinking from. “Alex St. Jones, is it?” Her moonlit cosmic green eyes met his caramel brown moss. 

Alex was sure he’d never crossed paths with this woman before tonight. “And you are?” He puckered his brow in inquiry. He shouldn’t have been surprised to hear she knew who he was, but he was. Alex had yet to meet a woman who claimed she’d never heard of the St. Joneses. He didn’t know whether he owed a “thank you” to his wealthy-as-sin dad or not. 

“Carly Mitchell… Are you going to have some wine or should I just do the deed myself?” Her upper lip curled showing straight pearl white teeth. “I certainly don’t mind.”

I was recently asked by new author Emily Quinn if I would help promote her and her debut novel, A PLAYBOY'S LOVE AFFAIR from The Wild Rose Press, and well, you know me and debut authors - I immediately said yes. Since I hadn't read this newly released contemporary romance, I sent her off some questions but she was kind enough to send me a copy of the book, just in case I wanted to read it. Read it, I did, and I'm very glad I did.

Forced into playing escort to Alex isn't the worse part of her forced agreement, but Carly finds that trying to keep herself from succumbing to the charms of this man, known for going through women like a kid through candy, was most definitely difficult. Determined not to become one more of his many conquests, Carly does her best to keep her distance, all the while finding herself wanting the man all the more.

A PLAYBOY'S LOVE AFFAIR by Emily Quinn is a fun, fast-paced, delightfully romantic love story born out of a stolen kiss and ending with a happily-ever-after that will have you smiling. And if you're like me, eagerly looking forward to what might come from this debut author since we're left with a hint of a clue. I will admit that I've seen better covers but as the old saying says, don't judge a book by its cover - the cover on this book is deceiving. On the cover, our hero has an innocent, elegant look to him and the heroine a stylish yet coy and demure air about her, but the hero of this story is nothing close to innocent. Alex knows style and elegance, but is most certainly endearingly down to earth. The heroine, although stylish and fashionable, is far from coy or demure, but instead is bold, confident, and feisty enough to keep our her playboy tantalized until he can no longer think of life without her. Secondary characters in the form of friends and enemies push this story through its paces leaving you always wondering if their friends might have something more up their sleeves. I adore their friends.

I very much recommend this lovely, fun debut novel, A PLAYBOY'S LOVE AFFAIR by Emily Quinn to anyone who loves a romance born from conflict, that fires with passion fueled by tension, and comes together in a sighingly sweet happily-ever-after that leaves you smiling with that 'Ahhhh, that's cute' ending.
